FAQS
Q: How do you inflate the bouncy castle when you have delivered it? Will I be able to put it down?
A: Our bouncy castles are inflated using electric fan blowers. They are simply plugged in to a suitable socket in your house or out building; we supply long extension cables and power breakers with all castles so you don't need a socket nearby. To deflate the castle, simply unplug the fan and it will slowly collapse (make sure nobody is using the castle at the time!)
Q: How much space do I need for a bouncy castle?
A: The dimensions of our castles are shown in our gallery page; please also allow an additional 5 feet both back and front and at least 2 feet at the sides.
Q: What kind of access do you need when you deliver the castle?
A: The castles are wheeled in to position using a cart, so we will need a standard size path to get the castle in to your garden or venue. If you have a lot of steps or a tight entrance way, please let us know so that we can assess the access.
Q: Can the bouncy castles go indoors?
A: Yes the bouncy castles can go indoors but you must check the height of the ceiling before booking. The ceiling must be higher than the height of the castle booked. Heights of all our castles are on our website.
Q: Are you fully insured, if a child gets injured who's to blame?
A: We carry 5 million pounds worth of public liability cover, however as per our terms and conditions we cannot be held liable for any injuries caused whilst the castle is in your care. You are the sole person responsible for the castle and its use and therefore should anything happen, you are liable to a claim as the hirer. Our Public Liability covers US against set up faults or faulty equipment etc
You sign a Disclaimer and agree that an adult will be present at all times to stop any horseplay and making sure no child climbs the walls or let bigger kids on with smaller ones .
Q: How much notice to I need to give to book a castle?
A: As much notice as possible. During busy times we book up well in advance so let us know as soon as you have a date in mind, we will do our best to accommodate you.
Q: Do you charge for cancellation?
A: We don't charge a cancellation charge, so please give us notice the day before 3pm, so that we can hire the castle out to somebody else. If a deposit has been given this then is held for your next booking no refund will be given
Q: When the castle is delivered, do I have to set it up myself or do you do it?
A: The delivery person will completely set up the castle, give you a demonstration on how to use it safely and then leave it in your control. When we turn up to collect the castle, we will also dismantle it.
Q: How many children/adults are allowed on the castle?
A: Each castle has different limits. Please note children's castles should never be used by heavier adults, remember the hirer is responsible for any damage.
Q: Is it ok to put a bouncy castle on my lawn, will it cause much damage?
A: We actually prefer to put the bouncy castle on a lawn area. For safety reasons we must hammer in 6 securing pegs to hold the castle down during use. The castle will have a ground sheet placed under it so the grass will not come to any harm. The holes left over from the securing pegs will disappear after a few days.
Q: Can you put a bouncy castle on a concrete floor?
A: We prefer not to for safety reasons but we can. If you have no alternative surface then please tell us this during booking so that we can arrange for sand bags to be in the vehicle when we deliver the castle. There may be an additional charge for this service.
Q: How long do I get the keep the bouncy castle?
A: We usually deliver the castles based on a 2 hour party hire charge but we can deliver first thing in the morning and then collect them later on that day. If you want it for more than one day please mention this when you book, this will of course be reflected in the price.
Q: Am I allowed to hire this castle from you and then charge people to use the castle?
A: Yes you are, but you must bear in mind that you are in charge and must make sure that people who use the castle are safe, don't overload the castle to try to make extra money. As the hirer you are liable for any damages.
Q: How many children can fit in a bouncy castle?
A: Generally speaking, between 6 and 12 kids at one time. This really depends on the size of the children and the castle.
Q: Are your units safe? Will you teach me how to have a safe day of fun?
A: Yes, they are designed from the ground up with safety in mind. In addition, we review all safety rules with you prior to use. While no one can guarantee safety, we do everything we can to promote safe use of our products to ensure your day is filled with fun, not hospital visits.
Q. What if it rains?
A: We know how the weather can be unpredictable and as such we do not charge for weather related cancellations as long as we receive the cancellation by 7pm on the evening before. Once we have arrived at the event venue we will have to take full payment.
Q: What will happen if the wind forecast is high?
A: In the event of forecasted high winds we regret that we will not be able to deliver your castle. The legal wind speed limit for installing an inflatable is 24 km/h.
Q: What recognised organisations are you a member of?
A: We are proud to be members of the British Inflatable Hirers Alliance. Our new castles bouncy castles come with a full PIPA TEST and we can supply certificates if required.
Q: My garden slopes a bit - will that be OK?
A: Yes. A slight slope is not a problem. Typically, we will place the entrance of the unit at the top of any slope. If the slope is more than a little, we may not be able to set up in that location. Your installer may request an alternate location so please have one in mind. The safety of the children is the most important consideration when selecting a setup area.
Q: Does it need electricity? How much does it use?
A: Yes. We will bring 15,20,25,30 and 50 foot extension cord with us; so you'll need an outlet near the set up area you cannot go any further than 50 ft as the currant drop will be too great for the fan motor . The blower runs continuously and uses approximately £0.18 of electricity per hour. Your blow dryer uses more than that! NOTE: All blowers and wiring are safety checked before delivery.
Q: What if I don't have access to mains electricity? 0r is further that 50mfrom a socket.
A: No problem, please give us a call and we can look to provide a generator for your event at an extra cost.
Q: What are your hours of operation?
A: Our office is open Monday to Friday 9am - 9pm Saturday to Sunday 9am-7pm But you can book on line 24 hours a day 7 days a week. You will have number sent to you by email for driver night before your booking please call if there are any problems. But you can get me on the mobile most any times of the day.
Q: How long would I normally have the castle?
A: We will endeavour to have as much flexibility as possible with collection/delivery times on outdoor hires. We can allocate specific time slots on a first come first served and priority basis with indoor hires taking priority over those who can be a little more flexible. We base our prices on a 2 hour party but we can extend the hire time to your needs, depending on our delivery schedule and your requirements. Overnight and additional hire can be arranged, please call us for details.
